Alphaville

Sure I never liked the song "Forever Young" but just because a group did one song I didn't like doesn't mean they don't have anything I like. And that's what I discovered today with this little group called Alphaville. Because, you see, this particular song that just put up is just brilliant in my ears. I love every minute of it and as I sit here alone in my dad's truck, I'm putting it on repeat. Yeah it's my new obsession!

Drinking tea and having a cosy time!

And with this cosy time, here's a Simon & Garfunkel song I haven't heard before

Oh, well you can't win them all.. or anything.

So, after a long time of work I'd finally worked things out so that I could go see my beloved Muse in Stockholm.. and of course, because of my hard work, Matthew Bellamy goes and breaks his foot... Which means that there will be no show. Fucking hell...

I'll just go into a I-almost-made-it-to-a-concert-with-my-favourite-band-depression now.

Stuff I got in Gothenburg

IAMX are just filled with epicness!

Over the weekend (from saturday to sunday) I spent some time as my friend Felix place. We god a bunch of sweets and drink and watched Doctor Who, NMBT and talked til 5. And he showed me this incredibly cool band called IAMX and now I can't stop listening to them. They're extremely awesome! Check them out!

The Dresden Dolls

I just came across a rather interesting band called The Dresden Dolls.
It's only drums and keyboard and they call their genre punk cabaret.
I personally didn't find that many songs that I liked, but I like the idea of making music with only piano, song and drums and I think both of them seem kinda cool as people :)

I quite liked this one though..and a song called Girl Anachronism and one called Coin operated boy.

Sober: Slowly killing my fingers

This picture describes what I'm currently doing. I'm practising guitar like a maniac until my fingers bleed because this song, fellow peasents, is the best and most enjoyable song I've ever played on guitar. There's so much to do with it, so many things to play and it's just so bloody fun! So I don't care if I play my fingers down to the bone, it'd be bloody worth it!

Muse is one of the two favourite bands I have. For me, they hold the record of most songs I like by them and up until the last album it was all songs but one. now there's maybe 2 more that I don't like all that much but it's still pretty damn impressive for being me. So you could imagine how excited I got when my guitar teacher suggested that I'd play a muse song. And in just a few weeks we have this kind of test where we perform a song with an ensemble in front of a few teachers so that they can see how far you've gotten and so on, and if I manage to learn this song by then, I get to play it. So yes, I'm gonna practise till I really can't go on.

I'm also drinking green monster, which I haven't done in a long time.

Music a' la Lennon

May I just mention Yoko knitting in the background with a blindfold on...

I'm not a big fan of most christmas songs, but I remember liking this one (before I knew it was John's)

I know this was originally a "hate"-song to Paul McCartney after the Beatles-breakup... but you know, it's a good song... and he apologized for it!

I'm not even sorry.

Yeah well, punch me in the face if you get tired. But since I don't really have anything to put here, to fill the holes in my blog, I wanted to present to you my at the moment favourite beatles song.

Nostalgia

The Best thing about playing Song Pop has to be that sometimes it can be a huge nostalgiatrip! Like this song I accidentally stumbled upon! :D And no, I'm not saying I'm around 60-70 years old, but this song belongs to a long list of songs my dad used to play when I was a kid. Of course, being a 60 year old blogger seems kinda cool, doesn't it?

Supremacy!

I really can't get over the awesomeness and epicness of this song. It's freaking fantastic! It's probably my new favourite muse song, EVER! And that's saying something considering there's only one song that I dislike by Muse. You know, I never felt doubt about the coming album, I trusted them to make something I would like and they sure didn't dissapoint me. The New album is just as brilliant as the previous ones! Keep it up Muse!

Thenewno2 - Another John Doe

You know, being the Beatles-fan that I am. I've obviously taken the time to check out their children's music aswell as their own. And even though I did like some of Julian Lennon's music, he didn't have his own style quite as much as Dhani Harrison has.

Thenewno2 is that one band that made it into my favourites the moment I heard them! I seriously love everything about them! Goddamnit! I thank my Beatle-interest to have discovered this wonderful band!

I Monster - The Blue Wrath

I Monster - Daydream In Blue

I did that music-thing and now all I want to do is share with you guys what an awesome music-taste I've got. So.. without further ado, I'm going to do a musicspam on here. Starting with I Monster's "Daydream In Blue"

Cheers!

Music thingy for boring days!

Ph: The lovely I Monster, Picture from Google obviously!

The Bones of you, atm, but it changes all the time.

Song by 3 that makes you sad?

No one actually, they don't seem like a sad band, just a bit mysterious and spaced out.

Favorite song by 9?

I feel safe in New York-city.

After I re-watched Yellow Submarine by the beginning of this year. It was a childhood favourite of mine, but I didn't know how much I actually liked their music!

How many times have you seen 10 live?

None, but it'd be fun to see them xD Do they still tour? I think Songkick said they do.

What is a good memory involving 6?

Being on Imvu and having their song Never say Never on a playlist. Hearing everyone go "Noo not bieber!" when it came on. They were all pleasently surprised to know that it had nothing to do with Bieber x)

Song by 2 that makes you sad?

I don't really know, I never have that reaction toward songs. But they do have some sad songs though. But Idk, all the sad songs that I like just makes me happy because they're so good!

Favorite song by 1?

Daydream in blue and Who is she?

Alice fucking Cooper

I totally forgot to mention, that I saw Alice Cooper live the other day! How could I forget to put this fact up on here? I put it up on Tumblr and on Facebook but totally neglected my own blog. I'm sorry.

Anyways, of course it was awesome, I mean, who are kidding? It's Alice fucking Cooper, He's a rock legend! It's obvious it's going to be great! And it was!
He put on a real show! He had a frankenstein on stage, his snake around his neck, big balloons flying out over the audience and he even cut his own head off! It was great, just great..

Me and my mate Felix actually had a pretty damn good view too, cus we were superclose! Not directly in front of the stage, but pretty damn close nontheless! And at the end of School's out, he even threw in a couple of lines from Pink Floyd's famous song Another brick in the wall that we got to sing a long to.
It was splendid, marvelous, epic, just fucking fantastic!

So here are some photos! Cheers!

Yes.. Bird IS the word..

I Am The Walrus-The Beatles

Falls of Mimir shows their love for Rebecca Roth

Hey! I'm not all about The Beatles

And to prove this, I just have to put up a rather new song by Arctic Monkeys that I've grown to adore!
