(Beatle-)Mania in Gothenburg!

Me and my mate Felix had prepared to go to Gothenburg yesterday, which we did.
I had saved up as much money as I could manage and I planned to spend most, if not all of it, while being there.

Since it's surprisingly hard to get a hold of Beatle-things around my home I was hoping to find some LP's or merchs, but I did have low expectations of finding some. Well, I was pleasently surprised. Turned out that in every fucking rock store we could find there was something that had to do with The Beatles and soon enough I didn't have enough money for a big lot of them, specially not LP's (Which were surprisingly expensive). I even had to ask my dad for some money so that I could get Yellow Submarine on DVD. So, if I didn't love Gothenburg enough, that revelation certainly put it in the spot of favourite swedish city!

In the end I got a bunch of stuff.
Ph: Beatles-Magazines from Sept, Oct, Nov, 1994 (My birthyear!), Yellow Submarine on DVD incl. a bunch of awesome stuff such as stickers, John by Cyntia Lennon, Paul-Patch, CD "The Great Lost Psychedelic Album", Video "The Beatles Live: Special Edition".
Felix worked as my personal Beatles-radar as he noticed most of these!

I also got to experience something I have never experienced before!
As me, Felix and Felix's friend Erika ate (in a big mall), an alarm set off and a voice started telling us to evacuate the building! Why?.......well they said there was a fire...

So there wasn't much to do but to grab all of your food and things and get out in the streets, where, it had started raining cats and dogs. We hid in a bus shelter, and well it started thundering as well, you know, of course. Well we later found out that it wasn't an actual fire in the building but a water leak, however we weren't allowed to go inside for the rest of the day.

Olympics 2012

So it starts today! The Olympics 2012, taking place in London, England, United Kingdom, Europe, The World.

I am personally not all that interested in sport, but the opening cermony holds a special place in my heart today.
Why? Well, the performances, ofc. While spendind a lot of time on tumblr, watching the fans of three of my favourite bands/people freaking out because they're going to perform, I have to freak out over all three of them.
Muse, Arctic Monkeys and Paul McCartney, in one night, how can I handle this?

I simply don't know...

Never mind the Buzzcocks

As usual, There's a huge time difference between my posts and I do apologize for that. But, my life really ain't that interesting and I don't want to be that kind of blog who writes about all the stuff I've done today. And what I had for breakfast, lunch and dinner or what I drank or what my excrement looked like afterwards. I just simply don't find that interesting.

And also considering the fact that all I normally do in a day... is the internet. Therefor, my experience per day is mainly media. Music, Art, TV. And these past day I've been spending quite a lot of time watching a show that a friend of mine showed me, called Never mind the Buzzcocks.

It's a popquiz, about music and with a lot of mean jokes and swearing (just simply something for me), and it's entertaining as fuck!
I just gotta say that after watching this show quite a lot. I absolutely LOVE Noel Fielding. Though him and Russel Brand together a quite an awesome combination!

Anyways, When you're a beatlemaniac, like I am, you experience a lot of collisions, meaning you see them being connected with other stuff you like, your fandoms collide. For example for the upcoming album of Muse, they have been said to be working with Paul McCartney. And for this episode of Never mind the Buzzcocks, Cilla Black is the host (she was a popstar at the same time and knew the beatles personally). It is entertaining to watch, nonetheless.

I don't wanna try to get the video-thingy to work (it's 5am, after all), so here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNPafHZc69Y&feature=relmfu

Chris Landreth - "The Spine"

Just wanted to put up this amazing animation my drama teacher told me about. I had forgotten about it, but now I found it again and I think it's splendid!
Just as weird as I like it!

If the movie doesn't work (It keeps fucking up and I don't understand why) here's the link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RehoFehNFC4
